Windows Live Mail SignatureHow to create a Windows Live Mail Signature and make your domain name email look more professional and branded for your clients in email communications.

Firstly you will need to have Windows Live Mail Setup and your email address configured before proceeding.

You can add a basic text, html code for hyperlinks, fonts and styling, images and company logo as your Windows Live Mail Signature.

Create a Windows Live Mail Signature

  1. In the top left corner of the email program, click on the blue File menu, click on Options and then Mail.
  2. The Options settings will popup, select the Signatures tab.
  3. In Signature settings click on the New button and Signature #1 will appear.
  4. Under Edit Signature you can choose between basic Text or File uploaded on your PC.
  5. If you want just Text enter the your text and click Apply.

You can take it one step further by using the File option under Edit Signature if you would like to use images, logo, links, email, bold or color text, headlines or just about any html code.

Windows Live Mail Add HTML Signature

This is a lot easier than it sounds but we'll include a windows live mail signature example at the end in case your HTML coding skills are limited.

  1. First create a new .html or .txt file somewhere safe in My Documents (so it won't be deleted).
  2. You can do this by right clicking in the folder location and selecting New -> Text Document.
  3. Rename it to something like Email Signature.txt or Email Signature.html
  4. Follow the steps above on how to create a Windows Live Mail signature and choose File in Step 4
  5. Browse for the .txt or .HTML file you have save on your PC.
  6. Under the Advanced button you can configure which email account to use the signature.
  7. Click Apply and OK
Now that the .txt or .HTML file is linked to your Window Live Mail signature we can edit the files to what you would like.

Adding an Image or Company Logo to Windows Live Mail Signature: Copy the code below and paste it into your .txt or .HTML file.

Copy the code below and paste it into your .txt or .HTML file and edit the Company Name, Website Address, Skype Name, Phone or Fax.

You may delete an entire line of code if you don't what some of the field shown in the example above.

Windows Live Mail Signature HTML

Alternatively you can create your signature by creating a new Email Message and using the email content editor to design it. Options include: pictures, images, logo, hyperlinks, fonts, text color and html code.

  1. Click File -> New -> Email Message from Windows Live Mail.
  2. Enter your details in a new email message and style it with the email editor.
  3. After you're done editing click File -> Save as file
  4. Follow the steps above on how to create a Windows Live Mail signature and choose File in Step 4
  5. Browse for the windows live mail signature file .txt or .HTML file you have saved on your PC.
  6. Click Apply and OK
