Setting Up Email on iPhone

How to Set Up an Email Account on iPhone or iOS 7.1 compatible device.

Here are the steps on how to set up email on your iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Mail.
  3. Tap on Accounts.
  4. Tap on Add Account.
  5. Select your email provider as Other.
  6. Enter your email address and password.
  7. Tap on Next.
  8. If prompted, enter your Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server information.
  9. Tap on Next.
  10. Review the account information and tap on Save.

Your email account will now be set up on your iPhone. You can start sending and receiving emails.

Click on Settings and the menu will appear.

Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Select Mail, Contacts, and Calendars in the Settings menu.

Add Account

Select Add Account in the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars menu.

The Add Account menu will appear.

Other

Select Other in the Add Account menu of mail account types.

Select Add Mail Account in the Other menu.

The New Account interface will appear.

Account Information

Enter the following information in the New Account interface's text boxes:

  • In the Name text box, enter the name that you wish to use for the email account.
  • In the Email text box, enter your email address.
  • In the Password text box, enter the password for the email account.
  • In the Description text box, enter a description for the email account.

Click Next to proceed to the next screen in the New Account interface.

Verify Information

Use the toggle at the top of the screen to select a mailbox type.

Note: We recommend that you select the IMAP mailbox type. If you select the POP3 mailbox type, the mobile device's email client will download all of the account's email messages, and then remove the messages from the server. You will not be able to access those messages from any other email client.

Verify

Verify all of the information for your account, and then tap Next to proceed to the next screen in the New Account interface.

Enter information for your incoming mail server

Enter the following information in Incoming Mail Server text boxes:

  • In the Host Name text box, enter the domain for the email account.
  • In the User Name text box , enter your email address.
  • In the Password text box , enter the password for the email account.

Click Next to proceed to the next screen in the New Account interface.

Disable the Notes toggle

Click the Notes toggle to disable the Notes application for the account.

Then, Click Save to complete the account setup process.

Here are some additional tips for setting up email on your iPhone:

  • If you are having trouble setting up your email account, make sure that you have the correct email settings. You can find the correct email settings for your email provider by contacting them or by looking them up online.
  • If you are still having trouble setting up your email account, you can try setting it up manually. To do this, tap on "Other" when prompted to select your email provider. Then, enter your email address, password, Incoming Mail Server, and Outgoing Mail Server information.
  • If you have multiple email accounts, you can add them all to your iPhone by following the steps above.
