cpanel emailThis is a guide on how to setup an email account through quick email setup and cPanel email. First login to your account and click on Services to see your available web hosting services and accounts.

Select the hosting account that you would like to create an new email account on.

You will now see the option for both Quick Create Email Account and cPanel login.

cPanel Email Setup

To create an email account in cPanel, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click on the "Email" tab.
  3. Click on the "Email Accounts" link.
  4. In the "Create an Email Account" section, enter the following information:
    • Email Address: Enter the email address you want to create.
    • Password: Enter a password for the email account.
    • Quota: Enter the amount of storage space you want to allocate to the email account.
  5. Click on the "Create Account" button.

Your new email account will be created. You can start using it immediately.

Email Settings

Use the following settings to setup the new email account on your email program or app. Replace yourdomain.co.za with your actual domain name when setting up the account.

Username: email address
Password: email account password
Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.co.za
POP3 Port: "993" for POP3 & "995" for IMAP.
Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.co.za
SMTP Port: 465
Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

Email Program Outlook

Here are the steps on how to set up a cPanel email account on Outlook 2019:

  1. Open Outlook 2019.
  2. Click on the File tab.
  3. Click on Add Account.
  4. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
  5. Select POP or IMAP - Differences Between POP And IMAP.
  6. Enter your full email address in the Email address field.
  7. Enter your email password in the Password field.
  8. Enter your full email address in the User name field.
  9. Enter your cPanel server name in the Incoming server (POP3) or Incoming server (IMAP) field.
  10. Enter "993" in the Port field for POP3 and "995" for IMAP.
  11. Select SSL in the Encryption field.
  12. Enter your cPanel username in the Outgoing server (SMTP) field.
  13. Enter "465" in the Port field.
  14. Select SSL in the Encryption field.
  15. Select the Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox.
  16. Click on the Next button.
  17. Outlook will test your settings. If the test is successful, you will see a message that says "Your account was successfully added".
  18. Click on the Finish button.

Your cPanel email account will now be set up in Outlook. You can start sending and receiving emails.
