Set Up Email Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Windows 10 Mail, Office 365

To set up an email address on Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Windows 10 Mail, or Office 365, you will need to know the following information:

  • Your email address
  • Your password
  • The incoming server name
  • The incoming server port
  • The outgoing server name
  • The outgoing server port
  • Whether you need to use SSL or TLS

Once you have this information, you can follow these steps to set up your email account on most email programs:

  1. Open the email client.
  2. Click on "File" or "New".
  3. Click on "Add Account".
  4. Select the type of email account you have.
  5. Enter your email address and password.
  6. Enter the incoming server name, port, and whether you need to use SSL or TLS.

  2. Click on the "hamburger menu" (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
  3. Click on "Settings".
  4. Click on "Accounts".
  5. Click on "Add account".
  6. Select the type of email account you have.
  7. Enter your email address and password.
  8. Click on "Next".
  9. Enter the incoming server name, port, and whether you need to use SSL or TLS.
  10. Enter the outgoing server name, port, and whether you need to use SSL or TLS.
  11. Click on "Next".
  12. Click on "Finish" to complete the setup process.

 


 

Office 365

  1. Go to the Office 365 website.
  2. Sign in with your account information.
  3. Click on the "hamburger menu" (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
  4. Click on "Mail".
  5. Click on the "Settings" gear icon in the top right corner.
  6. Click on "Accounts".
  7. Click on "Add account".
  8. Select the type of email account you have.
  9. Enter your email address and password.
  10. Click on "Next".
  11. Enter the incoming server name, port, and whether you need to use SSL or TLS.
  12. Enter the outgoing server name, port, and whether you need to use SSL or TLS.
  13. Click on "Next".
  14. Click on "Finish" to complete the setup process.

Once you have completed the setup process, you should be able to send and receive email from your new account.
